Black Gay Ink was set up to contribute to the creation of platforms and spaces for black gay men to record, document, and write their stories, their issues, and their interests.
The Black Gay Ink writer's workshops, contribute to creating new writing, and instilling better awareness, confidence, and understanding of the literature, and publishing industry for participants.
The Black Gay Ink 'Playwrighting' course took place between October 2021 & October 2022
In that time group participants were given workshops in playwrighting, had industry professional 'guest speakers', read and critiqued each other's work, plus, had peer group support sessions and discussions.
The plays written included "How Not to be Sad" and "Power Weaves."
